The NARI Home and Remodeling Show is taking it to the next level this year when it opens at State Fair Park October 13th and runs for three days through the 15th.

"Home remodeling is at a whole new level," explains show chairperson David Kittleson. "With all these technologies available now the home is more than just a place to sleep. It's where you can entertain and interact with your family and friends."

The show also provides itself on being a clearing house where homeowners can really find a contractor they trust.

All vendors are part of NARI and bound by a code of ethics.

"Not only can you get good ideas," said Kittleson, "You're on neutral ground. You're not at my office. I'm not at your home. You really get to know the people you're dealing with."

On Friday, they're hosting a presentation from construction guru Nick Kerzner. And then Mobcraft Brewery will be offering some samples and showing folks how to brew at home.

There's also a new section devoted to the latest in technology.

The kind of automation that they insist won't cost you an arm and a leg and can be retrofitted to your home.

Sunday is Packers football, so the home show will have the game on throughout State Fair Park.

They'll also be hosting a brunch and Chef James Jens will present a series of "Dinners with Class" that promise to give the consumer quick, easy things to make so you'll look like a pro.
