MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The 610 Stompers, a dance group from New Orleans, will join forces with Milwaukee's Dancing Grannies for a series of Independence Day events in the Milwaukee area.
We were joined on Friday, June 30 by some of the 610 Stompers, including Brett "Slab" Patron, Kris "The Rookie" Sekinger, Alfred "Chocolate Thunder" Richards and Dan "Maude" Sullivan. Two members of the Dancing Grannies lineup also joined, Jan Kwiatkowski and Jeannie Knutson.
The groups’ first collaboration took place earlier this year when the Stompers invited the Grannies to Mardi Gras in February. They will collaborate at Summerfest on Friday at 3 p.m. Subsequently, on Saturday, July 1, they will appear at the West Allis parade at 10 a.m. Franklin's parade will take place on Sunday, July 2, at 1 p.m.
The groups will then perform at the Brewers game on Monday, July 3, which starts at 1:10 p.m., followed by the Menomonee Falls parade at 7 p.m. on the same day.
The series of events will culminate with performances at the Waukesha parade at 11 a.m. and the Somers parade at 2 p.m. on Independence Day.
