O&H Danish Bakery announces limited-edition Racine Chocolate Malt Kringle
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- O&H Danish Bakery announced the unveiling of a limited-edition Racine Chocolate Malt Kringle on Tuesday, Aug. 3.
Officials say the new Kringle is a nod to the popular malted milk product that was invented by two brothers in Racine in 1887.
The new Kringle features O&H's signature tender pastry filled with a creamy malt filling, topped with a decadent chocolate malt frosting and sprinkled with pieces of malted milk balls.
To celebrate the launch of the new flavor, O&H Danish Bakery and Mullen's Dairy Bar are hosting a Kringle and ice cream social on Saturday, Aug. 7 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 5910 Washington Ave.
The two created a one-time-only Racine Chocolate Malt Kringle Sundae, available at the event only. The sundae will pair scratch made creamy vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, a slice of the featured Kringle and a touch of malt powder.
“We feel honored to be a part of the Racine community and thought there was no better way to celebrate that than with a tribute to the city itself by inviting our valued customers out for an afternoon of fun, Kringle and ice cream,” said Eric Olesen, third generation co-owner of O&H Danish Bakery. “The Racine Chocolate Malt Kringle is really something special and we can’t wait for you all to try it.”
