1 dead after crash near 99th and Good Hope Road

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating a fatal crash near 99th and Good Hope Road.

It happened at 7:30 a.m. this morning.

Police say the driver of one of the vehicles was a 21-year-old Milwaukee male headed east on W. Good Hope Road. He was driving at a high rate of speed and collided with another vehicle that had three occupants.

One of the occupants of that vehicle was a 78-year-old Menomonee Falls female. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The second occupant of the vehicle was a 76-year-old Menomonee Falls male, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The third occupant of the vehicle was a 52-year-old Menomonee Falls male, who died from his injuries.

Police say the 21-year-old male driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He was then taken into custody.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Charges are pending review by the District Attorney's Office.
