Racine city leaders announce new Financial Empowerment Center
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) --- Proper financial planning can be a game changer, especially during the pandemic. The city of Racine wants to make sure its residents are financially fit.
During a virtual meeting Monday, Dec. 7, Racine mayor Cory Mason and other community members announced the new Financial Empowerment Center (FCC). It offers Racine residents free, professional, one-on-one financial counseling to individuals and families with low to moderate incomes.
"It's a free service, it is one-on-one, it is unlimited amount of sessions, and we make a plan that's tailored for the individual client," Financial Counselor Xenia Jackson said.
For now, all counseling sessions will be done virtually or over the phone. THis is a free service to Racine residents.
