RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man and woman are dead in what Racine police say was a murder-suicide.

Authorities say on Aug. 11, near Drexel Avenue and Gillen Street, a 3-year-old child ran to a neighbor seeking help.

According to police, officers entered the home where the child came from and located a 29-year-old woman and 30-year-old man deceased.

Authorities identified the deceased as Cassandra Sims and Deandre Martin.

Investigators determined Sims was shot and killed by Martin, and then Martin turned the gun on himself.
