Refuge Smoothie gives out free smoothies for Pay-it-Forward day

Local businesses took part in Pay-it-Forward Day. The national holiday encourages people to do good deeds for one another.

Joshua Janis, owner of Refuge Smoothie Cafe, gave out free smoothies and bracelets at the Bradley Center during the Bucks playoff game against the Bulls.

\"Just today a woman paid for the next ones muffin,\" Janis said. \"That energy and that positiveness, I think, is what makes Milwaukee great.\"

Pay-it-Forward day started in 2007, with the goal to do 10 million deeds.

Anyone who did a good deed was encouraged to post it on Twitter or Facebook with hashtag #payitforward.
