Sculpture Milwaukee reveals artist lineup for 2023-24 exhibition

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Sculpture Milwaukee unveiled the full roster of exhibiting artists for its seventh annual exhibition, "Actual Fractals, Act I," curated by local artist and gallerist John Riepenhoff in a Thursday, May 18 press release.

Scheduled for public viewing between June 30, 2023 and Oct. 2024, the exhibition features seven distinguished artists from diverse backgrounds.

The artists include Katy Cowan, Lars Fisk, Pau Houa Her, Nicole Miller, Mary Miss, Isamu Noguchi and Erika Verzutti.

Riepenhoff commented on the exhibition, noting, “There are many Milwaukees within this single city. 'Actual Fractals, Act I' rescales our expectations of contemporary sculpture, helping us see what we share by existing in the same time and place, and to see each other with delight and renewed empathy."

Alongside "Actual Fractals, Act I," the 2022-23 exhibition "Nature Doesn't Know About Us," curated by Ugo Rondinone, remains on exhibition through October 2023.
