Semi-Tanker Truck Roll Over Causes Road Closures in Kenosha County

A roll over crash involving a semi-tanker truck has caused road closures in Kenosha County.

Deputies along with the Town of Paris Fire Department responded to a roll over crash involving a semi-tanker truck in the 2500 block of 176th Avenue, County Trunk Highway D.

On arrival Deputies found a diesel fuel hauling semi tanker had been travelling southbound on 176th Avenue and for unknown reasons had left the roadway then crossed the northbound lanes and overturned in the east ditch line. 

The semi-tractor detached from the tanker trailer. 

The tractor and trailer overturned blocking the roadway.

Fuel from the tanker spilled at the scene.  The amount of fuel spilled is unknown at this time. 

The Wisconsin State Patrol and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are assisting in the investigation.

The semi driver was transported to the hospital and is being treated for injuries sustained during the crash. 

The roadway at that location is still closed while the scene is cleaned and cleared.

The cause of the crash is under investigation at this time.
