SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 31-year-old Sheboygan man has died following a motor vehicle crash Monday, Aug. 14. 

According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, the man lost control of his car on Interstate Highway 43 at State Highway 23 just before 4:30 p.m., crossing into the path of a semi tractor-trailer.

Authorities say the man driving the car was killed, and a 3-year-old passenger in the car received minor injuries. The child was taken to Aurora Medical Center of Sheboygan County for further assessment. 

Officials say the driver of the semi-tractor trailer was uninjured. 

The crash remains under investigation.
