Shorewood Police investigating carjacking in parking garage near Walgreens
SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Shorewood Police are looking for the suspect involved in an apparent armed carjacking.
It happened around 8:44 p.m. on Friday in the parking garage adjacent to Walgreens on Oakland Avenue.
According to police, the victim walked out of the store and got into his vehicle at which time the suspect approached him and opened his car door.
The suspect demanded the victim's wallet, stating that he had a gun.
The victim got out of his car to retrieve his wallet and the suspect jumped into his vehicle and drove away, police say.
The vehicle was last seen driving southbound on Bartlett towards Capitol Drive. It's described as a gray 4-door 2006 Toyota Corolla.
The suspect is described as a male, black, in his 30's, approximately 5'9", with a medium build.
