MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Deer District is scheduled to host "Sunday Pupday," a charitable event presented by Winston's Wishes, Central Bark and Deer District BID 53.

The gathering will take place on Sunday, Sept. 3 with the aim of supporting Winston’s Wishes in its mission to assist local dogs who need extra care or struggle in shelter environments. Festivities will run from 1 to 3 p.m.

The first 50 dog owners to attend will receive a complimentary Pete’s Pops popsicle for themselves and for their pup pals.

Attendance is free and open to the public; however, well-socialized, leashed dogs are required. Donations to Winston’s Wishes are encouraged to further the organization’s community efforts.
