MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Salvation Army's signature holiday bell ringing and fundraising are set to make an early summertime arrival as "Christmas in July" rings in the holiday spirit of giving. With "city sidewalks, busy sidewalks dressed in holiday style," the streets will ring with the sound of silver bells.

The organization's "Love Beyond December" campaign aims to extend traditional holiday generosity into the rest of the year. The initiative includes a variety of events designed to support community programs, such as the Emergency Lodge homeless shelter and meal initiatives.

Highlighting the warm weather giving season will be a Salvation Army Night with the Milwaukee Milkmen on Wednesday, July 10 at 6:35 p.m. as they face the Lincoln Saltdogs at Franklin Field.

The evening will feature Christmas-themed activities, photos with Santa and festive treats. Tickets start at $9, with a portion of the proceeds supporting The Salvation Army's community services.
