1 killed, 3 injured in multiple Fourth of July shootings in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police are investigating four, Fourth of July shootings.
According to police, a 32-year-old Milwaukee man was injured near N. 24th St. and W. Atkinson Ave. around 6:25 p.m.
The victim was struck in the hand, and transported themselves to a local hospital for treatment. Police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the incident.
Around 9:30 p.m., a 30-year-old, Milwaukee man was shot in the hand near N. Green Bay Rd. and W. Hampton Ave. No arrests have been made and the circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation
A 14-year-old girl was injured near N. 3rd St. and W. Concordia Ave. around 10:15 p.m. The victim was shot in the left shoulder, and presented herself at a local hospital for treatment. Police continue to investigate and search for suspects.
Around 11:35 p.m., an 18-year-old woman was shot near N. 26th St. and W. Burleigh St.
The victim was pronounced dead on scene. A person of interest is being sought, and the circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation.
