MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A child has been taken into surgery after suffering a serious gunshot wound Wednesday night.
Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened near N. 17th St. and W. Concordia Ave. around 8:50 p.m.
According to police, they were called to a home where the victim, a three-year-old boy, had suffered a serious gunshot wound. The boy was taken to a local hospital and undergoing surgery.
A 26-year-old woman was taken into custody.
The circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation.
