MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The United Performing Arts Fund, serving 14 performing arts groups across Southeast Wisconsin, is calling on the community to join them in their 2023 Community Campaign to support the performing arts.
With the goal of reaching annual fundraising totals of $12.5 million by 2025, UPAF President and CEO Patrick Rath joined us on Friday March 3 to discuss the campaign.
New initiatives are underway to further promote the performing arts and creative works in the area, including the Milwaukee Theater District and World Premiere Wisconsin. However, UPAF and its members are still not without challenges as they continue to come out of struggles caused by COVID-19 and are depending on community support.
To get involved, individuals and companies can donate to the 2023 UPAF Campaign online at upaf.org/donate, host a Workplace Giving Campaign or make a company gift.
Attending a performance is another way to support the performing arts. Every week, there are new stories, experiences and connections that can be experienced at local performing arts organizations.
The 2023 UPAF Community Campaign runs through May 31.
