UPDATE: Two arrested for fatal shooting of man near 28th and Melvina
Milwaukee Police have arrested two people in the Tuesday afternoon shooting near 28th and Melvina.
Police confirm the victim was 18 year old Michael Powell.
Initial reports came in from a duplex in the neighborhood about an intruder.
But in announcing the arrests, police gave no indication of a motive. They will only say their suspects are 24 and 26 years old.
The landlord of the property told CBS 58's Josh Landon he heard the same story about a possible intruder.
But it's when family of the victim started talking at the scene that things got even more confusing.
\"My cousin that was killed Michael Powell he was outside playing cans,\" Mario Nelson tells CBS 58 News. \"Somebody says he went into the house and that somebody just shot him. I don't believe the mental illness people said he had. Why would he choose that specific house? There's violence everywhere. Nothing you can do about the violence.\"
At last report, police had several suspects in custody in connection to the case but no formal arrests or charges yet.
