Waukesha County Sheriff's Deputy charged with illegal strip search

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) – A criminal complaint has revealed the name of a Waukesha County Sheriff’s Deputy accused of conducting an illegal strip search.
The complaint says 50-year-old Jeffrey Haren did a strip search of a man who admitted he was hiding marijuana on his body. It happened back in November after the suspect was arrested during a traffic stop.
According to the complaint, while at the jail, Deputy Haren removed drugs hidden in the suspect’s underwear while people in the room looked on and laughed.
The deputy is on paid administrative leave.
An internal investigation is underway.
