CBS 58

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- In Waukesha County Wednesday, the teen accused of killing his mother and stepfather and planning an overseas escape made his plea in court.

Seventeen-year-old Nikita Casap pleaded not guilty. He's charged with two counts of first degree intentional homicide among other felony charges, including a new charge for intimidating a witness.

Police say he killed Tatiana Casap and Donald Mayer before taking a gun, cash, jewelry, and a family car back in February.

He was later arrested in Kansas.

The judge did not set a trial date yet, just a status conference for mid-August, to give the defense time to look through evidence.
