MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- While the overnight winter weather advisory isn't expected to cause widespread damage, We Energies says it's ready for whatever happens.
Similar to its response to previous storms, the company has increased staff and made resources available to quickly repair any outages.
We Energies says its grid is built to withstand the Midwest weather, but it's prepared for any unforeseen circumstances.
"Limbs can come down, trees can fall, or in the case of really slick winter weather, you can have a situation where a vehicle comes into contact with our poles," said We Energies spokesperson Brendan Conway. "So we can see outages and we remind all customers to be prepared."
We Energies recommends you pack an emergency kit just in case of an outage.
The company says the kit should include a flashlight, bottled water, first aid kid and a charger for your cellphone.
