West Allis bartender scares off would-be robber with a stick

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A West Allis bartender was able to scare off an attempted robber after noticing his gun was fake.

West Allis Police say the suspect entered Studz Pub Sports Bar & Grill, located near 68th and National, around 12:30 a.m. on February 1.

The suspect allegedly held what appeared to be a gun to a customer.

The 54-year-old bartender believed the gun was fake and grabbed a stick from behind the bar, yelling at the suspect to get out.

The suspect fled the scene.

Police say the suspect is 5'11 and was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie and a bandanna over his face.
