West Allis Company Announces Possible Massive Layoffs

BMR NO.1 has notified the state of possible mass layoffs at its West Allis location, according to Department of Workforce Development.

The company has notified the state that their assets used in connection with the business operated at 10611 W. Arthur Avenue, West Allis, are under contract for sale to a third-party buyer. 

The sale is expected to close sometime in March 2017. 

According to a release from DWD, 57 workers may be affected, but are expected to be offered employment by the purchaser of the business. 

The Milwaukee Area Rapid Response Team will contact the business and offer services to those who may be affected.
