West Allis Police searching for suspect after increase in thefts from motor vehicles

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- West Allis Police say they are investigating an increase in thefts from motor vehicles over the past few weeks.

According to police, a number of incidents occurred on the east end of the city, then the west end of the city, and finally in the center of the city.

In many of the cases, police say the car doors were left unlocked.

All of the thefts have occurred in the overnight hours.

Surveillance video was able to capture a suspect during one incident.
