Wisconsin Ranked Fourth for Most Dangerous States for Drunk Driving
Wisconsin has been ranked as one of the most dangerous states for drunk driving, according to Carinsurancecomparison.com.
Wisconsin ranked fourth in the study.
According to the study, the penalties for DUIs are not as steep as others.
The study was based on statistics made available to the public by the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, KIDS COUNT Data Center, and DrivingLaws.org.
The states were ranked according to cost per fatality by state, percentage of fatal crashes involving alcohol, arrests of minors and adults that were driving under the influence, state’s penalties for first-time DUI, and amount of drunk driving laws in the state.
The lower the score, the worse the state’s drunk driver ranking.
The number one state was North Dakota.
