MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The driver left dead in a hit-and-run crash Thursday, Jan. 15 has been identified as 34-year-old Meng Kue.

The initial confirmation came from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office, but Bell Ambulance took to social media to address his death.

A spokesperson with Bell Ambulance pass along a statement from Meng Kue's family. The statement thanks the community and everyone for the support after the sudden loss of Meng. 

"We are thankful for the outpouring of support from everyone in the community since the sudden loss of our beloved Meng. He was adored, cherished, and will be incredibly missed by his family and friends. We are extremely grateful to the first responders and law enforcement officials who have and will continue to assist with this tragedy." - Kue Family 

Bell Ambulance is not commenting on the loss at this time. 


MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 34-year-old driver died after a hit-and-run crash Thursday, Jan. 15 near 76th and Glendale, Milwaukee police said.

The crash happened around 9:01 p.m. when a driver traveling north on N. 76th collided with another vehicle traveling east on W. Glendale, according to police.

The 34-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver fled the scene, police said.

Milwaukee police are searching for the driver who fled. Anyone with information is asked to contact MPD at (414) 935-7360 or use Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-TIPS to report anonymous tips.
