MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating an aggravated battery incident on Saturday, March 16.

It was originally reported by police as a shooting. 

It happened around 12th and National around 7:50 p.m. 

Police say the victim was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition. 

The identification of the victim is pending, according to police.
