MPD: Milwaukee County bus strikes 2 men working on a car near 47th and Villard, 1 dead
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash involving a Milwaukee County bus that took place on Wednesday, Dec. 25 at around 10:30 p.m. near 47th and Villard.
Officials say a 79-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were standing near a legally parked car on the north side of the street, attempting a repair, when both were struck along with the vehicle by the bus traveling westbound.
The 79-year-old died from his injuries, and the 37-year-old was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 51-year-old driver of the bus remained on the scene and was taken into custody. Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
