79-year-old victim identified following fatal semi crash in Sheboygan County

TOWN OF MITCHELL, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of Tuesday's fatal crash as 79-year-old William P. Buelter of Plymouth.


TOWN OF MITCHELL, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 79-year-old man has died following a crash in Sheboygan County Tuesday, Aug. 13. 

The crash happened around 1:37 p.m. at the intersection of County Road A and County Road U/Kettleview Road, according to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office. 

A preliminary investigation indicated that a Ford Mustang, being operated by the 80-year-old driver from Plymouth, was stopped at the stop sign on County Road U face east at County Road A when he pulled out in front of a semi traveling south on County Road A. 

Officials say the semi was being operated by a 38-year-old man from Plymouth and was hauling 5,500 gallons of liquid manure. 

The driver of the Mustang was declared deceased on scene, and the operator of the semi was taken via Flight for Life to Froedtert with serious injuries. 

The accident is being reconstructed by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
