14-year-old killed in Fond du Lac Co. crash
FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal crash.
It happened on Wednesday, Jan. 22 around 9:32 p.m., in the area of I-41 southbound by the town of Friendship.
The investigation revealed there was an argument occurring in the vehicle. The driver stopped on the median side while still partially in the lane of traffic, according to the sheriff's office. The occupants got out of the vehicle to continue the argument on the side of the interstate. A 14-year-old, who was a passenger, got out and stepped into the lane of traffic where he was struck by a southbound vehicle. The individuals in the vehicle, including the 14-year-old, are from Detroit. The 14-year-old was pronounced dead.
The sheriff's office says the driver of the vehicle that struck the 14-year-old is cooperating with the investigation.
