MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say a 15-year-old is injured after being shot on Milwaukee's northside on Sunday, Sept. 27. 

Police responded to the scene near 50th and Locust, at around 3:52 a.m. 

Crews took the 15-year-old victim to the hospital for treatment of the gunshot injury. 

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation, as police continue to search for an unknown suspect.
