1st-ever World Burrito Eating Championship to be hosted in Milwaukee's Deer District
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In celebration of National Burrito Day, Milwaukee's Deer District will host QDOBA's first-ever World Burrito Eating Championship on Thursday, April 6.
In partnership with Major League Eating, ten professional eaters -- including first-ranked Joey Chestnut -- are competing to set a new world record, become the World Burrito Eating Champion and a chance to win $10,000 in cash prizes.
Folks are invited to watch the event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and enjoy music, free food samples, giveaways, activities as more.
According to a news release, QDOBA will debut its World Eating Championship Burrito, featuring fan-favorite grilled adobo chicken, cilantro lime rice, black beans, 3-cheese queso, roasted tomato salsa and guacamole.
Eaters will be challenged to consume as many World Eating Championship Burritos as possible during a 10-minute window.
The championship will also be livestreamed on QDOBA social channels.
