MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Police are still looking for unknown suspects after two teenage boys were shot and killed this weekend.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the shooting happened just after 10:30 Saturday night on Milwaukee's south side, near 14th and Halsey.

One of the boys was pronounced dead on the scene.

"Seeing that kid laying on the ground, I can't unsee it. It's everything I see when I close my eyes," said Grey McEachern, 17, a girl who tried to save one of the teens.

The other boy was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

"They were younger than me, they still had lives ahead of them, they still had school ahead of them. They didn’t have a job, they had families," said McEachern.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has not released the names of the boys.

Milwaukee police say the circumstances leading up to Saturday's shooting are still under investigation.


MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a double fatal shooting that happened on Saturday, May 18. 

It happened near 14th and Halsey around 10:30 p.m. 

Police say the first victim, an unidentified individual, sustained fatal gunshot injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, despite life saving measures.

The second victim, an unidentified individual, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The second victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. 

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Milwaukee Police continue to seek unknown suspect(s).
