2 men seriously hurt in Sheboygan Falls shooting, suspect arrested

SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two men were seriously hurt in a Sheboygan Falls shooting Wednesday, June 11.
It happened in the 400 block of Giddings Avenue around 4:15 p.m.
According to the Sheboygan Falls Police Department, an investigation revealed a 24-year-old man had gone to the residence armed with a handgun and confronted a 39-year-old man. The 24-year-old fired several rounds and shot the 39-year-old man, along with a 67-year-old man.
Police say the 39-year-old retrieved a handgun and fired at the suspect. The suspect was not injured.
The 39-year-old and 67-year-old were both transported by a medical helicopter with life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene by vehicle. According to police, shortly before 5 p.m., the vehicle was observed traveling southbound on I-43 near State Highway 33 in the village of Saukville. An officer initiated a traffic stop but a pursuit ensued.
According to police, the Wisconsin State Patrol deployed tire deflation devices near Good Hope Road and deflated the suspect's front passenger tire. The fleeing driver then lost control, struck another vehicle, before coming to a stop on the roadway south of Silver Spring Road.
The suspect attempted to flee on foot, but authorities apprehended him.
The suspect was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
He's currently being held at the Sheboygan County Detention Center on charges of recklessly endangering safety, endangering safety by user of a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Authorities say the three individuals knew each other. The shooting was an isolated incident.
