90s are back with lots of humidity and a few strong storm chances as we head into the weekend
We saw a few very isolated sprinkles and downpours on Thursday but nothing held together during the night into Friday morning. That has left us without clouds Friday morning and allowed temps to get off to a very warm start. That warmth will continue all day Friday with highs expected to hover around 90. More low 90s are expected Saturday then the temps drop a touch but stay warm most of next week in the mid 80s.
Humidity levels will stay steady and stay sticky. Dew points will hover around 70 degrees most of the weekend with tropical-level humidity at times.
The combination of heat and humidity will push feels like temps on Friday into the mid and upper 90s. Saturday will be even hotter with feels like temps getting close to 100 degrees and a possible heat advisory issued. Sunday's is more manageable but still very warm with feels like temps in the 80s to round 90.
Friday stays dry all day but the combination of heat and humidity will provide plenty of fuel for strong to severe storms on Saturday where some strong to severe storms are possible. The chance for rain and showers will start as early as the late morning hours but the afternoon and evening will feature the best chance for strong storms.
Most of central Wisconsin including many of our western and northern counties are currently under a Level 2 Slight Risk for severe weather on Saturday. The Milwaukee metro and areas south and along the lakefront are included in the Level 1 Marginal Risk. The biggest threats with any strong storms will be damaging wind and small hail but an isolated tornado cannot be completely ruled out.
