14-year-old dead after shooting near 76th and Brown Deer
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) - Milwaukee police are investigating two double shootings that hurt three teenagers and resulted in the death of a 14-year-old on Friday, May 2.
At around 3:30 pm on Friday police say a 14-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries from a shooting that took place near 76th and Brown Deer Road. The victim, identified as Maurice Whiters, died from his injuries.
A 16-year-old victim was also injured in the same shooting and was sent to the hospital in critical condition.
Later that night at approximately 10:40 pm, two shooting victims, a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old, were also both transported to a hospital with non-fatal injuries. That shooting occurred near 38th and Roosevelt. There is suspicion that the incident may be robbery related.
