MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It's the Greater Becker Open! For half a century, Dick Becker of Menomonee Falls organizes this part-golf, part-reunion event at Hartford Golf Club. The laughs and memories are endless.
"Sometimes the Greater Becker Open, but it's been known as the GBO for 50 years," said Dick Becker, founder of the Greater Becker Open. "Is it greater? It's greater. Remember the Greater Milwaukee Open? We were first!"
"It's just been a blast," said Rick Kohl, who played 49 of the 50 Greater Becker Opens. "Guys look forward to it. You don't even need to know the date. It's always the Friday before Memorial Day. Always! The Friday before Memorial Day, we're out here."
