WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two Wauwatosa businesses will team up for a free Community Costume Shop this week. 

The owners of Joy Ice Cream Social and Little Geese Shop have been taking donations of kids' costumes for the past year. They've collected more than 100 different outfits, from princesses to Minecraft. They range in sizes from babies up to teens. 

"It was really fun to look through all the different costumes," said Liz Joy, owner of Joy Ice Cream Social. "There are beautiful -- they almost look like they've never been worn costumes."

"Secondhand, especially for kids, is all the rage," said Danielle Scampini, owner of Little Geese Shop. "And it should be."

They're still collecting costumes at Little Geese Shop in the Tosa Village. You'll get a coupon for a free scoop of ice cream and a discount at Little Geese. 

The free community costume swap takes place Thursday, Oct. 1, at Joy Ice Cream Social, from 5-8 p.m.
