2-vehicle crash near 31st and Rogers leaves one with life-threatening injuries, police seek driver

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A serious crash has left one person with life-threatening injuries near 31st and Rogers.

Police say it happened overnight at 1:08 a.m.

The first vehicle was headed northbound on S. 31st Street, colliding with a second vehicle that was traveling eastbound on W. Rogers Street.

Police say the impact of the crash caused a passenger from the second vehicle to be ejected. The passenger was a 16-year-old male. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Police say he is in stable condition.

The first vehicle fled the scene.

No other injuries were reported from police.

Milwaukee police continue to seek the unknown driver of the first vehicle as well as the vehicle itself.

The driver of the second vehicle was a 17-year-old male. He was arrested and criminal charges will be referred to by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the upcoming days.
