28 schools in Kenosha Unified School District temporarily switch to virtual learning

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- 28 Schools have now switched to virtual learning in the KUSD. The six schools added will return to in-person learning on Monday, Jan. 24. 


KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- At least 22 schools in the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) have switched to virtual learning for the next week. Nine schools will remain closed to students for in-person classes for the next two weeks. They plan to reopen on Monday, Jan. 24.

The schools were moved to virtual learning after reaching or exceeding the 3 percent positive COVID-19 case rate.

When a school in the district is switched to virtual learning, there's a 10 day quarantine period and all extra curricular activities are cancelled.
