22-year-old dead, 3 others injured in crash after vehicle runs red light near 20th & Locust

MILWAUKEE, (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal crash after they say a vehicle ran a redlight and struck another vehicle early morning on Saturday, Sept. 12.

MPD responded to the crash site near 20th and Locust Street, at around 2:15 a.m. 

Officials say when the light turned green a vehicle began to drive through the westbound intersection when a second vehicle entered the intersection during a red light and struck them.

The driver of the first vehicle, a 25-year-old, was taken to the hospital. Their passenger was also taken to the hospital. 

The driver of the striking vehicle, a 22-year-old, was a pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. Crews also took the passenger of the vehicle, a 23-year-old, to the hospital.
