3 arrested in fatal shooting of 19-year-old man near 28th and Burnham

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim of a deadly shooting near 28th and Burnham, as 19-year-old Carlos Lopez of West Bend.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on Sunday, July 2, around 2:50 a.m. near 28th and Burnham.

A 19-year-old West Bend man was shot and was being transported in a private car when it got stuck from construction on the street.

A call for medical assistance went out and the man was taken to a local hospital where he died.

The investigation is ongoing, however the motive is believed to be robbery.

A 22-year-old Milwaukee man, a 17-year-old Milwaukee man, and an 18-year-old Milwaukee man were taken into custody. Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
