Fourth person dies after shooting at Janesville apartment complex

JANESVILLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Janesville police say the fourth victim of a shooting at the Aspen Square Apartments has died at a medical facility.

JANESVILLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Three people were found dead and another critically injured inside an apartment in Janesville Tuesday, June 17.
According to a report from WISC, just after 11 a.m., police were called to the Aspen Square Apartments -- located in 2600 block of North Pontiac Drive -- for a report of a "family problem" followed by a 911 call for shots fired.
The Janesville Police Department said in a news conference Tuesday afternoon, upon arrival to the scene officers located three deceased adults who had been shot, and a fourth in critical condition from a gunshot injury.
The fourth victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Residents were asked to avoid the area as officials responded.
Authorities say there is no threat to the public.
An investigation is ongoing to learn more about what led up to the incident.
