Aug. 10 marks the 35th anniversary of unsolved disappearance and homicide of Native American woman

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Saturday, Aug. 10 marks the 35th anniversary of an unsolved disappearance and homicide of Rhys Pocan. 

According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, Pocan was a 35-year-old Native American woman who was abducted while walking along National Ave in Milwaukee around midnight in 1989. She was murdered and dismembered. 

Authorities say her head and hands were later located by hunters in Vernon Marsh, a public hunting ground in Waukesha County. 

Her torso was found in Nichols Creek in Sheboygan County, according to the sheriff's office.
