4-year-old killed, 6 others injured after vehicle loses control in snow before crash in Langlade County

LANGLADE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 4-year-old was killed and six others were injured following a crash near Antigo.

It happened around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday on US 45 near Kautza Drive. 

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, a Plymouth Grand Voyager was traveling south on US 45 when it lost control on the snow covered roadway and traveled into the northbound lane. A northbound Jeep Wrangler then struck the Plymouth on the passenger side.

The 30-year-old driver and four other passengers in the Plymouth were taken to a local hospital. A 4-year-old died as a result from his injuries. Two other passengers are being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The 24-year-old driver of the Jeep was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
