4th person charged in connection to murder of US postal worker Aundre Cross

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A fourth person is facing charges for their involvement in the murder of on-duty United States Postal Service letter carrier Aundre Cross.

According to the United States Attorney's Office, Lakisha Ducksworth, 38, is accused of providing false statements to law enforcement agents investigating the murder.

An indictment alleges that Lakisha Ducksworth falsely stated that her residential surveillance equipment was not functioning and that she had not sent Ducksworth Jr. video footage from that system, when the equipment was, in fact, functioning and she had sent Ducksworth Jr. video footage from the system three days before the murder, showing Cross delivering mail to her residence.

Charles Ducksworth Jr., 29, and Kevin McCaa, 36, are accused of murdering or aiding and abetting the murder of Cross. They are being held in federal custody.

Shanelle McCoy, 34, has also been charged with providing false statements to law enforcement in connection to this crime. McCoy was released from custody with conditions.

If convicted, Lakisha Ducksworth faces up to five years in prison.
