SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Some families in Shorewood are finding ways to have fun out in the cold this weekend.
Saturday, Feb. 1 was the 7th annual Shorewood Chill.
It is an event held at Lake Bluff Elementary's ice rink. It had plenty of fun for everyone, with s'mores, hot chocolate and live music.
Unfortunately, this week's warm weather made skating on a solid rink difficult, but organizers say that didn't stop everyone from having a great time.
"We've got a lot of people showing up to listen to the band, we've got a scavenger hunt and we ended up with more people than I really thought we were going to be. I was nervous with having a working skating rink but sometimes mother nature doesn't let you," said Andy Skwierawski, organizer.
The event was put on by Lake Bluff Elementary Ice Captains, a volunteer group encouraging some outdoor, winter fun. If you are interested in joining them or for more information, click here to visit their Facebook page.
