GREENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Greendale police say nine people were arrested, including eight juveniles and one adult, during a carnival in Southridge Mall's south parking lot Saturday, June 29.

Officials say several callers reported incidents between 3:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., including a report of an armed robbery, a weapon complaint, theft, three fights, six disorderly conduct incidents and a report of shots fired.

Four of the people arrested were related to the armed robbery, where police say a facsimile firearm was displayed. One was arrested for theft, and four for disorderly conduct. Officers responded to the area of the shots fired call and found no evidence that a firearm was discharged.

Southridge Mall eventually decided to close early, as did the carnival management.

The four individuals arrested for armed robbery, all juveniles, were referred to the Milwaukee County Children's Court Center for charges.

Police say all others were cited and released.
