Hocus Pocus and Stranger Things among the creative Halloween decorations in the Pleasant Prairie Holiday Lights Tour

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Some homes in Pleasant Prairie are giving it their all decorating this Halloween season.

They're competing for the prize of best decorations on the inaugural Halloween Holiday Lights Tour.

There are 20 houses that people can check out on the tour-- from spooky to just plain fun.

If you're a fan of Halloween movies and TV Shows, you'll want to go to the first stop on the house and see the Hocus Pocus theme. But that's not all.

"We have a whole house that's dedicated to stranger things," said Sarah Howard, the interim executive director of Visit Pleasant Prairie. "It's epic."

You can stop at one of the refreshment stops for a complimentary cup of cocoa or hot apple cider, and then spend the tour in the comfort of your car. So, turn on some spooky tunes.

"We have a playlist that I made from At Most FX. They tell stories, they sing, they joke, they play music," said Corey Bracken on of the homeowners. She is one of three houses on the tour that has a display linked up to a local radio station. Turn on 93.7 FM when you get to her house.

If you're looking for plain creepy, these houses won't disappoint with witches and pumpkin skulls. All you need to do is show up after dark when the orange and purple lights come on.

"If they want to see the entire thing it's approximately about an hour and 15 minutes so it's a tour as you go," said Howard. "Take it in little bites if you want."

There is a map here that you can follow to participate.
