A Rainy Home Opener for the Brew Crew

Spring weather... you never know what Mother Nature has in store. But one thing is certain, it's baseball season!! Looks like the last five years were pretty chilly for the first home game at Miller Park.  Last year the season started off with temps around freezing and flurries. So this year will be milder but also wet, this time we're tracking rain showers.

By the way, we are so excited to announce that the CBS58 Readywx Team will be your official weather team of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Here's the forecast for this year's home opener:

Temps will be fairly typical and we may get through tailgating on a dry note, but rain looks to surge back in once we hit the afternoon. That will lead to a closed roof game. The heavy showers are pegged to hit the area by the commute home. There could also be areas of fog. Definitely keep that in mind for any evening travel. Showers will linger through Tuesday morning. A healthy dose of rain can be expected in your area. As you can see in the graphic below, spots that get a good downpour overhead will easily pick up over an inch of rain. By the end of the event most of the area can expect 1 to 1.5" of rain.

Stay up to date on the rain and hour by hour forecast with our CBS58 Ready Weather App.
