ELM GROVE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Halloween is officially packed away, and for a lot of families, that means it’s time to start decking the halls.

The Christmas Fantasy House has become a holiday tradition here in southeast Wisconsin.

This year, the Christmas Fantasy House is already shining a light on the real meaning of the holidays. Behind all of the ribbon, sparkle and glitzy evergreen trees, is a reminder that goodwill and being close to the ones you love is what the season is really about.

Every ticket sold benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin.

Last year, $400,000 was donated to help families with sick children. The Ronald McDonald House gives those families a place to stay so they can be close to each other in every season of life.

“People think of a warm shower and hot meal, a comfortable bed, but being surrounded by other people and that system of compassionate care really makes all the difference,” said Melissa Marne, a spokesperson for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The house this year is in Elm Grove.

“This home is 19-thousand-square-feet. We decorated 29 rooms in this home,” said Connie Walters.

Twenty-nine rooms decorated by designers, boutique owners and florists in different decor and styles. Walters says visitors are always excited to see the over-the-top Christmas rooms.

The Christmas Fantasy House is open every day, except Tuesday, through Sunday, Nov. 9.

Tickets are $25 for anyone over 13, with free admission for kids12 and under.
